Procedure

All overseas students wishing to open a bank account with Barclays should first make an appointment at one of the branches.

The Sidney Street branch deals mainly with student accounts and therefore may be the most efficient at setting up the account. The bank has advised to allow for approximately 45 minutes per student. The Department may elect to set up appointments for small groups of students, indicating to the branch the number of individuals attending - this may reduce the need for 45 minutes per individual.
