The Finance Staff Bureau is a dedicated team created within the Finance Division to provide temporary or longer term accounting cover for any department within the University. We are able to provide cover in finance duties for departmental offices for:
- sick leave
- maternity / paternity
- additional workload
- unexpected vacancies
The team is very flexible; whether it's half a day a week or 5 days a week, we aim to accommodate departmental requirements. We can also provide advice on accounting procedures and best financial practices within the University.
All of our team is employed by the University and we currently have 2 full-time and 4 part-time Assistant Staff at CS05 level, all providing high standards of work. We are all fully trained in both UFS and in dealing with every day department transactions and have had varied experience working across a range of departments.
Cost and Billing Arrangements
We are a self funding, non-profit making service and the cost is £26 per hour.
Departments will be asked to complete timesheets for the services provided. At the end of each month we will raise internal trading invoices for the hours detailed on the timesheets.
