The Finance Staff Bureau is a dedicated team within the Finance Division whose aim is to provide temporary or longer-term accounting support to any University department or institute. We can provide finance cover for:
The team is flexible, whether it's half a day a week or five days a week we aim to accommodate department requirements. We also provide advice on accounting procedures and finance best practice.
The team are employed by the University and currently consist of nine full-time and three part-time Assistant Staff at Grade 5 and 6 level all providing high standards of work. They are all fully trained in both UFS and in dealing with everyday department transactions and reporting. They have a wealth of experience working across a range of departments.
We are a self-funding, non-profit making service. The rate is £33 per hour for Grade 5 and £36 per hour for Grade 6 (wef Nov 2023).
At the end of each month an internal invoice is issued for the chargeable hours according to approved timesheets.
