The University and all its staff have a responsibility to ensure that their dealings, and the supply chains of those who we trade with, are free from any sort of modern slavery in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 [1].
This online course guides you through some facts and figures relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking and highlights warning signs you need to be aware of.
While we highly encourssge those who wish to stay informed about current world issues that affect them, it is mandatory for many staff i.e.
The above applies to individuals working within the University at all levels and grades, including officers, employees (whether permanent, fixed-term or temporary), workers, trainees, seconded staff, agency staff, volunteers, interns or any other person working in any context within the institution. Third parties must confirm in their contracts with the University that they have undertaken their own, equivalent, training.
The course is to be be completed in full once and should take around 25 to 30 minutes to complete. New staff should complete the training in their first few months.
