The Insurance Section arranges the University's insurance policies which provide indemnity for financial loss due to accidental loss or damage to property, or legal liabilities to employees, students and members of the public. 

Other insurance policies are arranged to assist the University to carry out its activities, for example Travel Insurance to provide assistance to employees and students travelling overseas to carry out University-related activities, and Life Sciences Liability Insurance to meet the ethical requirements to carry out research involving human participants.

Third Party Personal Injury Claims

If you are a third party or a third party's solicitor and wish to submit a personal injury claim against the University of Cambridge, please note:

  • The University's Public Liability insurer is Zurich Municipal (Portal ID C00108)
  • The policy number of the University's Public Liability Insurance policy is NHE-19CA01-0013
