During 2018-19 the University is supporting three levels of AAT study. These qualifications are aimed at departmental accounts staff of all grades. If you would like any further details please contact Max Smith on 66598 or by email at Max.Smith@admim.cam.ac.uk

AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping.

The AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping is a qualification designed to ensure students obtain a sound knowledge of bookkeeping. This suits a range of staff whether they wish to progress to further study or just develop their bookkeeping skills in their current role.

The AAT Level 2 Foundation  Certificate in Bookkeeping is a recognised qualification in its own right and an excellent preparation for the AAT Level 3.

In addition to booking a provisional place you must complete and return the application form at the end of the briefing pack.

Information regarding a 19/20 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping course will be made available at a later date, as courses typically start in February. You can register your interest using the button below, and view examples of the briefing packs from last year.

AAT Level 3 - Advanced Diploma in Accounting - starting September 2019

This level consolidates and builds upon the double-entry process that many students will have covered at Level 2 or via the AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping. It then introduces some basic costing concepts, explores VAT in more depth, introduces ethical concepts and builds on existing spreadsheet skills.

This year students will be taught on the public programme at First Intuition on Hills Road. Running from September 2019 - June 2020 the day release programme will consist of a total of 18.5 classroom days and 5 half-days for assessments. This will need to be supplemented by approximately 6-8 hours of home study per week.

The University's programme is centrally funded through the Finance Division and is open to members of staff in a University accounting role. You may also apply if you work in one of the University colleges, the University Press or Cambridge Assessment, although funding will be requested from your employer who may have their own criteria for joining the programme.

In addition to booking a provisional place you must complete and return the application form at the end of the briefing pack.
