This section forms part of the Employee Expenses policy. Any deviations from the policy must adhere to the key principles [1] and be authorised by the Head of Institution. Where appropriate, any claims must also align to the funder’s terms and conditions.
The University offers a scheme to provide financial assistance for relocation expenses for certain moves within the UK and from overseas. Where costs are approved, they may be reclaimed. The HR Pay Benefits [2] webpage gives details of eligibility criteria, allowable expenditure, and procedures. Outside this scheme, institutions may fund relocation expenses.
