The Finance Division provides the financial services that enable the University to operate effectively and sustainably. We manage day to day financial transactions, support long term financial planning, and ensure the University meets all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Our key activities include:

  • Financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision making and long term sustainability.
  • Accounting and financial reporting, including statutory, regulatory and internal reporting, and management of accounts payable, receivable and cash.
  • Financial systems management, ensuring robust, reliable systems for accounting, procurement, payroll and expenses.
  • Procurement and value-for-money support to help departments purchase goods and services responsibly and sustainably.
  • Payroll and pensions administration for University staff.
  • Tax, treasury and insurance services to ensure compliance, safeguard assets and manage financial risk.
  • Investment appraisal to independently assess major investment opportunities.
  • Training, process improvement and transformation programmes that strengthen financial capability and modernise the University’s financial operations.
