Finance Division

Over the last decade, investment in Finance has not kept pace with the growth and the increasing complexity of the University. We’re addressing this through the Finance Transformation Programme (FTP), which will ultimately shape and enhance Finance’s processes and tools of the future. Through FTP, we aim to improve the experience for finance system users and improve the transparency of our finances.

The Finance Systems Replacement project (FSR) is one of six major projects in FTP. FSR will form the backbone of systems within Finance, helping us to deliver a range of benefits, including:

  • Making financial processes more uniform across the University
  • Guiding users through financial processes, making tasks easier to complete and helping us to be more efficient
  • Integrating and processing data from a range of systems and sources making it more accessible
  • Supporting other FTP projects, including Strategic Procurement and Purchasing (SPP) and Enhanced Financial Transparency (EFT)
  • Helping us take full advantage of modern digital technology, which in a cloud environment, will make sure our system is always secure and up to date

This is an exciting time for Finance, and we'll keep you updated as the work progresses.
